 Darlene from Florida sends this picture of the air-potato beetle, Lilioceris cheni, which was introduced a few years ago to combat the invasive alien air-potato vine. Looks like this biocontrol beetle is doing a great job! Of course, destroying plants runs in the family. If only the lilies in our gardens were invasive alien plants we wanted to be rid of!

Lily Beetle's Cousin is a good guy. He has a very good job, he's in a good relationship with his girlfriend and he's a nice person to know. He has nothing against you and he never will. But I think it's better for everyone if we don't make him aware of this fact. It's better for him that people think that Lily Beetle's cousin is a bad guy who doesn't care about anyone else than having them know what kind of person he really is. 7/20/2024 04:04:51 am
Lily Beetle's cousin is actually a great guy. He's got a good job, a loving girlfriend, and he's just a genuinely nice person. He's cool with you too, and always will be. But, I reckon it's probably best if we keep that under wraps. It's probably easier for him if folks think he's not that great, rather than knowing the truth about him. 9/21/2024 06:47:09 am
